week’s Summary as having passed Chaaeha arrived in
Russian Sarakhs but from there are reported to number 70 —
half being Sarts and the other half being composed of Armen
ians and Russians, fhey were siad to be en route for Ak Re
bat, a post west of Khushk.
Persian subjects who own shops in Russian Sarakhs have
had to pay on demand 800 pods of wheat as tribute in kind
to the Russian Grovernment.
fhe Karguzar of Persian Sarakhs is said to be on terms
of great intimacy with Russian officers and their wives .
They pay him visits daily.
The 500 sheep, the property of Haji Kazim and claimed
