documents. Mr. Ohliger is manager of the Arabian American
Oil Company. I suggest that inquiry be made from the Indian
postal authorities as to when the ordinary mail services to
the United States of America are likely to be as expeditious
as those provided by the Army post Office.a It would be
difficult* to press for withdrawal of the privilege until
this is the case.

The file comprises correspondence relating to the use by the Bahrain Petroleum Company (BAPCO) and Arabian American Oil Company (ARAMCO) of the United States Army Post Office in Bahrain to send mail and parcels to the United States and Canada.

The correspondence discusses permission the existing postal services from Bahrain to the USA through the Indian Postal Service, and the high costs and frequent delays which the service was afflicted by, and attempts to improve the service following the closure of the US Army Post Office at Bahrain in September 1945.
