REVENUE.
Nothing remarkable has occurred during the year under report in the
progress of the Survey, which has been principally
r&tta^Country, “capiat carried on in the Sattara Collectorate; the Belgaum
W. Coussmaker Anderson. and Dharwar Collectorates being completed, with
the exception of occasional villages requiring to be surveyed on lapse or at the
request of the Inamdars. The Inamdars now appear much more alive to the
advantages of the Survey, and applications to have their villages subjected to it
are of late very numerous. During the past year, the Revised Settlement was
introduced into the Kagwar Talooka ol the Belgaum Collectorate, and the TV aee
Talooka of ths Sattara Collectorate.
The cost of this Survey, and the extent of work done during the two
seasons preceding the year under report, are as follows .

Annual administration report of the Bombay Presidency The name given to each of the three divisions of the territory of the East India Company, and later the British Raj, on the Indian subcontinent. , providing a summary record of the main events and developments in each department of the Government of Bombay From c. 1668-1858, the East India Company’s administration in the city of Bombay [Mumbai] and western India. From 1858-1947, a subdivision of the British Raj. It was responsible for British relations with the Gulf and Red Sea regions. during the financial year 1860-61.
