Bombay, estimated to cost Rs. 2,055, was in progress. In connection with the new Genera]
Post Office, the works of clearing the site and making a road 50' wide were eommeneed and
Rs. 6,064 were spent. A combined Post and Telegraph Office with quarters for the f>
blaster at Thana was completed at a cost of Rs. 12,511. A combined Post and Telegraph OfT
at Ahmednagar, estimated to cost Rs. 19,846, was in progress. Additions and alterations ?
the Post Office at Belgaum were completed at a cost of Rs. 3,232. Additions and alteratio°
to the combined Post and Telegraph Office at Ldrkhana were commenced and completed at^
cost of Rs. 5,968. The work of providing additional accommodation in the General Post
at Karachi, estimated to cost Rs. 8,224, was nearly completed.
Additional signallers' quarters, with out-honses, for three married families in the Governme
Telegraph Office at Bhusdwal, estimated to cost Rs. 12,306, were in progress.
Provincial Services,
Forests.
The bungalow for a Forest Officer at Dhnlia, estimated to cost Rs. 12,616, commenced last
year, was completed at a cost of Rs. 12,618.
The construction of a Branch Custom House at Prince's Dock, Bombay, was in pro^re
the expenditure to date being Rs. 1,47,935. Additional office accommodation in the Customs
House at Karachi was provided at a cost of Rs. 6,470. Additions to the Customs staff-quarters
at Kiamari were completed by the Port Engineer, Karachi, at a cost of Rs. 10,530.
The extension of the Paper Currency building, Bombay, estimated to cost Rs. 1,61,880 was
in progress. The Treasury stong room at Wadhwan Civil Station was completed at a cost of
Rs. 4,671.
Mdmlatddrs' Kacheries at Karjat and Bhiwndi, estimated to cost Rs. 42,053 anl
Rs. 35,691, respectively, were in progress. Additions and alterations to the old Jail buildiuo-g a {
Kaira for the accommodation of the Revenue and Registration records, and minor additions to
the Collector's Office, Treasure room and Prisoners' cells, estimated to cost Rs. 12,694, were in
progress. Extensions of the Record-room and Treasury of the Mamlatddr's Kacheri at Anaul
(cost Rs. 3,595) and of the Record-room of the Mamlatdar's Kacheri at Nadiad (cost Rs. 2,999)
were carried out. The reconstruction of the left wing of the Mdmlatddr s Kacheri at Malsh!
in the Sholapur Colleetorate, estimated to cost Rs. 5,961, was almost completed, the expenditure
during the year being Rs. 5,405. Mamlatddrs' Kacheries at Pdrner and Shevgaon in the
Ahmednagar District (estimated to cost Rs. 39,219 and Rs. 39,294, respectively) were in
progress.. A sum of Rs. 19,203 was spent on materials and foundations for the work of
constiuctmg Revenue buildings at Ndsik. The work of constructing quarters for the Mamlatd^r
at lemt was practically completed, the expenditure during the year being Rs. 3,684 a^ainstan
estimate ot Rs. 3,968. Certain additions and alterations to the Mdmlatdar's Kacheri at
Bhusdwal (estimate Rs. 3,403) were completed at a cost of Rs. 2,507. Certain improvements
to the Record-room, etc of the Mamlatdar's Kacheri at Sindkheda in the Khdndesh District,
estimated to cost Rs. 3,609 were completed at a cost of Rs. 3,454. The residence for a Revenue
Officer at Dhnlia (estiinated to cost Rs. 12,616) commenced last year was completed at a
cost of Rs. 12,616. A new Mamlatdar’s Kacheri and Police Lines at Bail Hongal in the
Belgaum District, estimated to cost R^ 42,623, were commenced and an expenditure of
