From the 193 bandharas in the N&sik and Ahmednagar District, there were irrigate
17,436 acres yielding a revenue of Rs. 81,210. The expenditure on repairs and
improvements amounted to Rs. 11,046,
During the year under report 10 works in Khandesh and 19 in the Nasik portion of the
district were improved and repaired at an expenditure of Rs. 6,600 and 12^855 respectively
Surveys for several ether works were carried out during the year. The restoration of an
old bandhara at Aklcd Morana in Dhulia T&luka, estimated to cost Rs. 11,648, Wag
undertaken, and the expenditure during the year was Rs. 5,003. To facilitate inspection
of these old works accommodation for officers and subordinates is being provided for at
convenient centres. In the year under report the construction of a bungalow at Satina in
the Aram Valley, a tributary of the Girna, was put in hand. The expenditure amounted to
Rs. 3,751 against the estimate of Rs. 4,756.

The work on the Talwida Tank has been completed, with the exception of the distribu
taries, a project for which is in hand. The projects for the following works have been
prepared and are under consideration :—
(1) Purmapada Tank.
(2) Dudhala Tank for water-supply to the town of Nandurbir.
(3) Chowgaon Tank.
Some work was done during the late famine on the first two works.
The work on the Visapur Tank was commenced as a Famine work in 1899. Theonlj
work carried out during the year 1903-1904 was the excavation of a portion of the waste
weir by the Deccan Convict Gang. The expenditure during the year was Rs. 14,996 and
the total expenditure up to 31st March 1904 Rs. 9,62,446.
The murnm covering on the dam of the Budhihal Tank was completed and theworkon
the outlet was in progress, almost all the material for the latter work having been purchased,
including pipes and valves. The total expenditure during the year on the above was
Rs. 16,208.
The survey for a canal under the Wadshivna Tank was completed and that for canals
under Pathri Tank was in progress.

Annual administration report of the Bombay Presidency The name given to each of the three divisions of the territory of the East India Company, and later the British Raj, on the Indian subcontinent. , providing a summary record of the main events and developments in each department of the Government of Bombay From c. 1668-1858, the East India Company’s administration in the city of Bombay [Mumbai] and western India. From 1858-1947, a subdivision of the British Raj. It was responsible for British relations with the Gulf and Red Sea regions. during the financial year 1903-04. The report was printed at the Government Central Press, Bombay [Mumbai] in 1904.
The report is divided into two parts. Part I contains a report ‘SUMMARY’ (ff 60-68). Part II comprises chapters I-IX (ff 69-112).
