1. The value of notes in circulation decreased by Rs. 18,25,815 to Rs. 1,11,15,480.

4. Land Revenue-
The total demand on account of “ Land Revenue including the demand on account
former years, amounted to Rs. 4,38,33,960. The total amount collected during the year mi
Rs. 3,94,56,670. In the previous year out of a total demand of Rs. 4,12,01,363 the realization
amounted to Rs. 3,70,61,893. The increase of Rs. 23,94,777 is distributed among all ft
divisions, but is only slight save in Sind, which showed a total increase of over Rs. 20 lakhsii
collections owing to the good inundation. The percentage of total collections to the totJ
demand rose from 89-9 to 9T05.

5. Irrigation Revenue.
The revenue credited to this head falls under two categories, viz., (1) the direct receipts^
the Irrigation Department and ( 2 ) the irrigation share of the land revenue assessed with reft'
ence to the supply of water from canals, tanks, dams, and other sources created or maintained If
the Public Works Department. The works are also divided into three classes; the first include
entirely new works and works restored or extensively improved for which capital and reveotf
accounts are kept; the second includes old works which are maintained by the department and
for which only revenue accounts are kept, and the third includes agricultural works for wind 1
