(2) Provincial Civil Revenue. —
1. An increase of Rs. 42,96,124 was due to larger contributions from Imperial revenues. Land Revenue.
2 Increases under Salt (Rs. 25,591), Stamps (Rs. 1,96,384), Excise (Rs. |4,90,971), Salt, stamps, Excise,
Assessed Taxes (Rs. 30,169), Forests (Rs. 1,34,509), and Registration (Rs. 21,018). were due Jf 68 '
to the causes mentioned under the corresponding heads of Imperial Revenue. Registiation.
3. A decrease of Rs. 35,290 was due to a decline in the receipts on account of Provincial interest.

4. An increase of Rs. 50,142 was chiefly due to the payment into the Treasury of fees Law and Justice,
realised in cash by the Insolvent Debtors' Court and to higher receipts under Magisterial Fines.
5. There was an increase of Rs. 46,922 due to special receipts on account of Ordnance Police.

6. There was an increase of Rs. 16,528 chiefly under the head of fees from schools Education,
and colleges".
7. “Stationery and printing" improved by Rs. 17,000, while other miscellaneous receipts Miscellaneous,

The gross Imperial, Provincial and Local expenditure fell from Rs. 9,16,73,571 in the
previous year to Rs. 6,18,74,475 in the year under report. Imperial expenditure decreased by
