Collector at Jalgaon, estimated at Rs. 12,529, was commenced duung tlie year ^
incurred being Rs. 1,859. Additions and alterations to the JVlamlatdai s Kacheix at Talodaia
the West KMndesh District, estimated to cost Rs. 3,940, were in progress, the expenditure
during the year being Rs. 2,525. The construction of the District Bungalow at Shir pur,
estimated at Rs. 5,692, was begun during the year, the outlay incurred being Rs. 4,495. The
construction of the Mahalkari’s Kacheri at Mundgod in the Kanara District, and additions and
alterations to the Mamlatddr’s Kacheri at Saundatti in the Belgaum District and to the office
of the Superintendent of Land Records and Registration, Southern Division, at Belgaum, which
were mentioned in last year’s report, were completed at a total cost of Rs. 30,061, Rs. 3,353
and Rs. 3,866, respectively. Further progress was made with the construction of the
Mamlatddr’s Kaeheri at Hirekernr in the Dharw4r District and with that of the quarters for
the Circle Inspector and karkuns at M&ngaon in the Ratn^giri and KoMba District, the expen
diture during the year being Rs. 19,004 and Rs. 3,149, respectively. The new Mdmlatdar’s
Kacheri with subsidiary buildings at N&valgund in the Dh^rwar District, the new Mahaikarfs
Kacheri at Bilgi in the Bij&pur District, the extension of the Collector’s Kaeheri at Karwar
and Revenue peons’ lines at M4,ngaon in the Ratndgiri and Koldba District, estimated to cost
Rs. 51,557, Rs. 16,842, Rs. 13,534 and Rs. 4,441, were commenced, and Rs. 23,285
Rs. 13,179, Bs. 9,989 and Rs. 2,451, respectively, were expended on them during the year.
Additions and alterations to the Mdmlatdar’s Kacheri at Belgaum, to the M^mlatdars’
Kaeheries at Athni and Grok&k in the Belgaum District, and to the Mamlatdar’s Kacheri at
Waduj in the Satara District, estimated to cost Rs. 4,294, Rs. 14,060, Rs. 4,96 ii and
Rs. 7,394, were also begun, and Rs. 3,302, Rs. 7,033, Rs. 3,000 and Rs. 6,357, respectively,
were expended on them. At Karw&r, the construction of a cook-room and servants’ quarters
for the Collector’s bungalow, estimated to cost Rs. 4,416, was also begun and Rs. 2,608 were
spent thereon. The Kardarate at Nawdbshah and the temporary shelters for the Collector's
establishment at Hyderabad, which were commenced last year, were completed at a cost of
Rs. 31,297 and Rs. 6,908, respectively. Additions and alterations to the Kardarate at More,
the combined Deputy Commissioner’s Kacheri and Huzur Treasury at Mirpurkhas and the
KarcUrate at Digri were in progress, the expenditure during the year being Rs. 4,000,

ohadadpur were completed at a cost of Rs. 7,686. An expenditure of Rs. 3,407 was also
incurred in proyidiug treasury bins in the combined Deputy Commissioner’s Kacheri at Mirpur*
kb as.—A District Bungalow with out-houses at Thdno Bulakhan, commenced last year, certain
additions and alteratmns to the Mukhtyarkar’s Kacheri at Johi, and to the out-houses, blocks 1

Rs. , /19 and Rs. 3,033, respectively. The Mukhtyarkarate at P4no Akil, commenced last year,
was nearly completed. The following works were commenced during the year :—(1) The new
