1. The area of reserved forest increased by 4 square miles and that of protected
decreased by 2 square miles.
2. Sixty-seven miles of outer boundaries were demarcated at a cost of Rs. 1>26 •
3. The number of prosecutions increased from 340 to 388, the percentage of
being 80, the same as in the previous year. The number of offences compounded > gt
against 2,203 in 1908-1909 and the amount of compensation recovered was Rs. V
Rs. 3,553. The number of cattle impounded decreased from 13,641 to 13,162. ^
4. The area protected against fire was 1,014 . square miles compared p rev iou9
miles in 1908-1909, the percentage of failure working out to 9*8 against 13’2 m
year.
5. The value of produce allowed free decreased from Rs. 17,974r to Rs. 8,184.

Annual administration report of the Bombay Presidency The name given to each of the three divisions of the territory of the East India Company, and later the British Raj, on the Indian subcontinent. , providing a summary record of the main events and developments in each department of the Government of Bombay From c. 1668-1858, the East India Company’s administration in the city of Bombay [Mumbai] and western India. From 1858-1947, a subdivision of the British Raj. It was responsible for British relations with the Gulf and Red Sea regions. during the financial year 1909-10.
