2.—Established Church of Scotland.
Pining the year the Chaplains of the Church of Scotland held regular services at the
Lidency,^Karachi, Poona and Kirkee. Visits were made to and services held at Hyderabad,
hand^a and Purandhar. Acting Chaplains held services throughout the year at Aden,

The value of English stores received from England was Rs. 1,55,115 and of those
drchased in India Rs. 1,12,316. The total receipts of English stores including the balance in
Jock was Rs. 4,75,504 and similarly the total receipts of Indian stores amounted to
Is. 7 , 37 , 783 , of which stores worth Rs. 5,85,086 were purchased in India during the year,
[lie total issues amounted to Rs. 8,82,413, of which Rs. 1,42,614 were Imperial and Rs. 7,33,374
e Provincial and Local. The balance in stock at the end of the year was Rs. 3,30,874.
s value of country papers received from mills during the year was Rs. 5,35,445 compared
hRs. 3,76,953 in the preceding year. Country-made miscellaneous articles purchased

The gross earnings of the Press increased by Rs. 31,168 to Rs. 1,00,498 and the expendi
increased by Rs. 9,996 to Rs. 57,671. The balance in favour of the Press was theretore
l0st doubled. Additions to the establishment and plant resulted in a much larger output.

The Department continued to work under the control of the Settlement
