Central Lun^ 1 ', A | s >' ll " n at Yeravda, commenced in the year 1906 , is still in progress. Three
sections of the bm ding are now completed. A new infectious ward in the Civil Hospital
Bijapur was constructed during the year. The Maternity ward in the Gv 1 Hosp a a
Hyderabad was completed. The quarters for the House Surgeon of the Civil Hosp ta a
Karachi and the Civil Surgeon s bungalow at Larkana were completed Hospital at
6c Chap. IV.

The improvements to the Executive Engmeer’s bungalow at Surat referred to in the-last
year’s report were completed. 7 he work of providing an electric lift in the Public Works Depart
ment, Secretariat, was m progress With a view to obtaining sites for quarters for Government
officials certain Sanadi lands on Malabar Hill, Bombay, were resumed and compensation for
buildings, etc., standing thereon was paid during.the year. The Central Block of offices at
Poona which .s mtended to accommodate aH the Government offices at present occupying
hired buildings in Poona, was in progress. This will be a three storeyed building constructed
from the local grey green trap stone, chisel dressed, with the arching^ornices and columns ol
the same material, finely dressed. &

Annual administration report of the Bombay Presidency The name given to each of the three divisions of the territory of the East India Company, and later the British Raj, on the Indian subcontinent. , providing a summary record of the main events and developments in each department of the Government of Bombay From c. 1668-1858, the East India Company’s administration in the city of Bombay [Mumbai] and western India. From 1858-1947, a subdivision of the British Raj. It was responsible for British relations with the Gulf and Red Sea regions. during the financial year 1910-11.

The report is divided into two parts. Part I contains a report ‘SUMMARY’ (ff 212-226). Part II (ff 227-283) comprises chapters I-IX.
