BOMBAY ADMINISTRATION REPORT.
The system of six yearly leases for eight, months crops was introduced under the a u •
Tank, but the applications received and sanctioned were for 1,105 acres only, which is l ess a " J

the decrease of assessed revenue by Rs. 18 , 617 . The decrease in area in the case of
Canal was due to less land having been cultivated owing to the uncertainty of the ^water-supp y
for the rabi season. In the case of Krishna Canal and other works in the ^ a ^ ara
was due to a reduction in the demand for water owing to seasonable rain, and, in the case
Dharwar Irrigation District, owing to shortage of water in some of the tanks at e
mencement of the year.

Annual administration report of the Bombay Presidency The name given to each of the three divisions of the territory of the East India Company, and later the British Raj, on the Indian subcontinent. , providing a summary record of the main events and developments in each department of the Government of Bombay From c. 1668-1858, the East India Company’s administration in the city of Bombay [Mumbai] and western India. From 1858-1947, a subdivision of the British Raj. It was responsible for British relations with the Gulf and Red Sea regions. during the financial year 1910-11.
