The accounts of the District Local Boards of Ahmedabad, Broach, Kaira, Nasik
a Satara, Sholapur, Dharwar, Kolaba, Hyderabad and Karachi have been audited up to
P L 0 °pnd of March 1911 . Audit of the remainder has been completed up to the end of March

p ona) which have been audited up to the end of March 1910 , the audit of all funds has been
pleted to the end of the year 191 o- 1911 . The Ahmednagar Cantonment Fund shows a rise in
IJnts of Rs. 15 , 861 . Receipts of the Quetta Cantonment Fund rose by Rs. 28,^26 and
expenditure by Rs. 35,554-
2 The opening balance was Rs. 60 , 942 . Receipts amounted to Rs. 1 , 22,014 and
expenditure to Rs. 1 , 19 , 721 , leaving a closing balance of Rs. 63 , 235 . All funds closed with
credit balances.
3 . These funds opened with a balance of Rs. 3 , 73 , 787 . Receipts aggregated Rs. 6 , 24 , 15 -
and expenditure Rs. 9 , 25 , 917 . The closing balance was Rs. 72 , 023 . The difference between
the opening and closing balances was mainly due to the reduction of the funded balance of the
Aden Port Trust, information as to which will be found in Chapter III.
4 . The only funds included under this head are those of the Rao Bahadur Bechardas
Dispensary at Ahmedabad and of the Hyderabad Medical School. The combined opening
balance was Rs. 7 , 738 . Receipts amounted to Rs. 13,461 and expenditure to Rs. 13 , 418 .
5 . Information regarding the Steam Boiler Inspection Fund will be found in Chapter IV.
Including this fund the total opening balance was Rs. 5 , 20,348 and the closing balance
Rs. 4 , 95 , 756 .

Annual administration report of the Bombay Presidency The name given to each of the three divisions of the territory of the East India Company, and later the British Raj, on the Indian subcontinent. , providing a summary record of the main events and developments in each department of the Government of Bombay From c. 1668-1858, the East India Company’s administration in the city of Bombay [Mumbai] and western India. From 1858-1947, a subdivision of the British Raj. It was responsible for British relations with the Gulf and Red Sea regions. during the financial year 1910-11.

The report is divided into two parts. Part I contains a report ‘SUMMARY’ (ff 212-226). Part II (ff 227-283) comprises chapters I-IX.
