Treatise on the classification of phenomena including miracles, inspiration, various forms of magic, talismans and occult sciences arranged according mutual interactions between bodies and souls by Abū ʿAlī al-Ḥusayn ibn ʿAbd Allāh (أبو علي الحسين بن عبد الله), known as Ibn Sīnā (ابن سينا, latinised as Avicenna, d. 1037). The treatise, which is also known as The Treatise of Actions and Affections (الرسالة في الأفعال والانفعالات) is perhaps part of Ibn Sīnā’s fragmentarily preserved Book of Piety and Sin (كتاب البر والإثم, see Gutas, Dimitri, Avicenna and the Aristotelian Tradition [2014], pp. 498 and 500).
