Diseases. 497. The principal causes of admission were
Malarial fevers, ulcers, diseases of digestive organs, local injuries, skin
diseases, diseases of respiratory system, eye, &c., &c.
Mortality. 498. Ninety-six deaths, being 22 less than in the
previous year.
Operations. 499. These reached the very high figure of
1,293 129 major and the rest minor.
500. There was a large increase for the year : total operations 1,811, of
Vaccination. which 1,367 were successful, compared with 1,324, of
