THE PERSIAN CONCESSIONS CORPORATION,
LIMITED.
Incorporated under the Companies Acts 1862 to 1890.
CAPITAL, £600,000,
in 50,000 Shares, of which 49,950 are Ordinary Shares of 210 each and
500 are Founders’ Shares of £1' each.
The Ordinary Shares will be entitled to a Preferential Dividend of 10 per cent, per annum, and
after the provision for a Reserve Fund to one-half of all surplus Profits.
Issue of 49,950 Shares of £10 each and 500 Founders’ Shares of £1 each.
T he 500 Founders’ Shares, with 20,000 Ordinary Shares of L10 each, are issued to and taken in
part payment of the Purchase price by the Imperial International Company of Persia, Limited, who are
the Vendors of the Concessions, and promote this Company.

HE Persian Concessions Corporation, Limited, is incorporated to develop and work the Industries, Agricultural Resources,
A and trade of the Persian Empire, and for that purpose to acquire in the first instance from the Imperial International Company
of Persia, Limited, a Concession for the monopoly of “Wines and Alcohols” already granted by His Imperial Majesty the Shah of
Persia, and to provide the necessary working Capital for maintaining and working that Concession, as well as to secure and carry out
all other Concessions which may hereafter be granted to it.

This file consists of letters, notes, and printed material on Persia compiled by George Curzon in the course of conducting research prior to the writing of his book: Persia and the Persian Question . The papers' contents and type vary considerably, but consists primarily of handwritten notes, some of which are organised roughly for individual chapters of the book. The rest of the file includes newspaper clippings, official reports, printed maps, and other published material on the history and geography of Persia. The official government reports are primarily government of India balance of trade reports, while published material consisted mainly of academic and non-academic papers on Persian archaeology by members of the Scottish Geographical Magazine and the history of the telegraph published by the Indo-European Telegraph Department.
