A map of canal and communication of Mesopotamia [Iraq], illustrating the following: existing canals, rivers and lakes; new canals and extensions; district boundaries; and roads. The map covers the districts of Khalis, Baghdad, Diyalah [Diyala], Felujah [al-Falluja], Buchailah, Museyib [al-Musayyib], Hillah [al-Hillah], Hindiyah, Diwaniyah [al-Diwaniyah], and Shamieh [al-Shamiyah]. The map is part of Sir John Hewett’s ‘Report for the Army Council on Mesopotamia’. The scale is stated as follows: ‘1:500,000’.
