Society of Arts Examinations, 1903.
MONDAY, MARCH 30 th, to THURSDAY, APRIL 2nd.
Grade I. Preliminary or Junior. Grade II. General or Intermediate.
In Grade II. First, Second, and Third-class Certificates will be granted in each subject.
In Grade I. Certificates will be given in each of the subjects enumerated. These will be of one class only.
In Rudiments of Music Higher and Elementary Certificates are given. In Harmony Higher, Inter
mediate, and Elementary Certificates will be granted.
A Fee of 2 s. 6 d. will be required by the Society from each Candidate in each subject in Grade II., and
in Grade I. a fee of 2 s. for one subject, and is. for each additional subject taken up by the same Candidate.
The fees for Harmony and Rudiments of Music are the same as for Grade II.
Medals and Money Prizes are awarded in all the subjects of Examination. Full Particulars of
these will be found in the Programme.
There will be no Prizes or Medals in Grade I.
The Examinations are under the control of Local Committees. No application can be recognised
unless sent through a Committee.
The last day for receiving applications is Wednesday, the 4 th March, 1903 , and after that date none
will be received under any circumstances whatever. Application forms from the Provinces should therefore
be posted not later than Tuesday, the 3 rd March. Committees may, however, close their entry lists at
an earlier date, if found desirable.
Copies of the Programme for 1903 , with full details, together with the questions for 1902 , and reports
by the Examiners, can be had, Price 3d., on application to the Secretary, Sir Henry Trueman Wood,
Society of Arts, Adelphi, London, W.C.
‘The questions for the years 1896 to 1902 inclusive can also be obtained (price 3 d. each year), on
application as above.
