ADVERTISEMENTS.
NOTICE.
The “ Proceedings of the Royal Geographical Society,” new aeries, consists of 14 volumes,
extending from 1879 to 1892.
Each volume covers on an average 840 pages, the selling price being 18a. per volume.
These volumes not only contain full reports of the papers read at the Royal Geographical Society,
by all the great travellers and geographers of the period, but constitute a record of exploration and
geographical work in all parts of the world.
Each volume contains numerous maps, all of them original, embodying the results of exploration,
and executed in the best style. In the 14 volumes there are some 350 maps, besides numerous
illustrations of characteristic scenery in the least-known parts of the world.
It is believed that a complete set of the Proceedings would be a valuable addition to public
libraries and other institutions, while many private individuals might wish to have the volumes. As
it is desired to reduce the stock in hand, the series is now offered, bound in cloth, at £6 per set.
Application to be made to the Chief Clerk, Royal Geographical Society, 1 , Savile Row, Londor, W.
In addition to the Proceedings, the Society has issued four volumes of “ Supplementary Papers ”
containing a large number of Memoirs and Narratives of considerable length, besides several valuable
tiibliographies. These will be sold for half price, £2 for the four volumes. These contain over 30
maps and numerous Illustrations.
