CELLULAR
THE HEALTHIEST AND MOST ECONOMICAL FOR TRAVELLERS.
Extract from C.T.C. HANDBOOK AND GUIDE, 1896-97, p. 52.
“ From the peculiar manner in which CELLULAR CLOTH is woven (forming a network of minute air-cells next the
ekin), it allows, even more fully than wool, the free evaporation of perspiration on the side next the skin. ... It is lees
bulky, and is lighter to carry ; it dries much more quickly ; it is more easily washed, and its prime cost is much smaller.
Last, but not least, it is quite free from that bane of all woollen goods, the liability to shrinkage.”
BEST FOR ALL SEASONS AND CLIMATES.

CHOLERA,
R. J. COLLIS BROWNE’S
CHLORODYNE. — Dr. J. C.
BROWNE (late Army Medical Staff)
DISCOVERED a REMEDY to denote
which he coined the word CHLORO
DYNE. Dr. Browne is the SOLE IN-j
VENTOR, and. as the composition of!
Chlorcdyne cannot possibly be discovered
by Analysis (organic substances defying
elimination), and since the formula has
never been published, it is evident that
any statement to the effect that a com
pound is identical with Dr. Browne’s
Chlorodyne must be false.
This Caution is necessary, as many
persons deceive purchasers by false re
presentations.
We have never used any other form of this
medicine than Collis Browne’s, from a
firm conviction that it is decidedly the
best, and also from a sense of duty we
owe to the profession and the public, as
we are of opinion that the substitution
of any other than Collis Browne’s is a
deliberate breach of faith on the part of
the chemist to prescriber and patient
alike.—We are, Sir, faithfully yours,
