General letter from Mocha to the Court of Directors The London-based directors of the East India Company who dealt with the daily conduct of the Company's affairs. of the East India Company, dated 20 July 1721 and signed by William Phipps, Edward Say, Henry Albert, Thomas Rammell and John Geekie. It covers matters including: the arrival of ships at Mocha and the departure of ships from Mocha; goods received from Europe; investments in the form of purchases of coffee and other goods made at Mocha by European ships for sale in Europe; relations with the Imaum [Imam] and the Governor of Mocha; the factors, writers, officers and soldiers of the Factory An East India Company trading post. , and their accounts.
