1 1. This insurance attaches from the time the goods leave the Warehouse and/or
2 Store at the place named in the policy for the commencement of the transit and continues during
5 the ordinary course of transit, including customary transhipment if any, until the goods are
4 discharged overside from the overseas vessel at the final port. Thereafter the insurance
6 continues whilst the goods are in transit and/or awaiting transit until delivered to final warehouse
6 at the destination named in the policy or until the expiry of 15 days (or 30 days if the destination
< to which the goods are insured is outside the limits of the port) whichever shall first occur. The
8 time limits referred to above to be reckoned from midnight of the day on which the discharge
0 overside of the goods hereby insured from the overseas vessel is completed. Held covered at a
10 premium to be arranged in the event of transhipment, if any, other than as above and/or in the
11 event of delay in excess of the above time limits arising from circumstances beyond the control
12 of the assured.
13 2. Including transit by craft, raft and/or lighter to and from the vessel. Each craft, raft,
14 and/or lighter to be deemed a separate insurance. The assured are not to be prejudiced by any
15 agreement exempting lightermen from liability.
16 3. Held covered at a premium to be arranged in case of deviation or change of voyage, or
17 other variation of the adventure by reason of the exercise of any liberty granted to the shipowner
18 or charterer under the contract of affreightment, or of any omission or error in the description of
19 the interest vessel or voyage.
20 4. In the event of the exercise of any liberty granted to the shipowner or charterer under the
21 contract of affreightment whereby such contract is terminated at a port or place other than the
22 destination named therein, the goods are held covered in terms of the policy at a premium to be
23 arranged until sold and delivered at such port or place, or notice be given to Underwriters to
24 terminate the policy whichever first occurs ; or, if the goods be forwarded to the destination
25 named herein or to any other destination, until arrival at destination (subject to the provisions of
26 clause 1 as to the period covered after discharge overside from the overseas vessel at Anal port);
27 provided always that no liability shall attach to this policy for loss or damage occurring after the
\ 28 termination of such contract of affreightment and proximately caused by delay or inherent
1 29 vice or nature of the subject matter insured.
80 6. Warranted free from Particular Average unless the vessel or craft he stranded, sunk, or
31 burnt, but notwithstanding this warranty the Underwriters are to pay the insured value of any
"2 package or packages which may be totally lost in loading, transhipment or discharge, also for any
33 loss of or damage to the interest insured which may reasonably be attributed to fire, collision or
oc C0 J ltact ^e vessel and/or craft and/or conveyance with any external substance (ice included)
35 other than water, or to discharge of cargo at port of distress, also to pay landing, warehousing,
86 forwarding and special charges if incurred for which Underwriters would be liable under a policy
37 covering Particular Average. This clause shall operate during the whole period covered by
88 the pohey.
89 6. General average and salvage charges payable according to Foreign Statement or per
40 York-Antwerp Rules if in accordance with the contract of affreightment.
41 7. Theasaorcd are not to be prejudiced by the presence of tlie negligenceclauseand/orlatent
42 defect clause In the Bills of Lading and/or Charter Party. The seaworthiness of the vessel as
43 between the assured and the Underwriters is hereby admitted and the wrongful act or misconduct
44 of the shipowner or his servants causing a loss is not to defeat the recovery by an innocent assured
45 if the loss in the absent (> of such wrongful act or misconduct would have been a loss recoverable on
46 the policy. With leave to sail with or without pilots, and to tow and assist vessels or craft in all
4/ situations, and to be tow ed.
48 8. Warranted free from liability for loss of or damage to the goods whilst in the custody or
49 care of any carrier or other bailee who may be liable for such loss or damage but only to the
50 extent of such carrier’s or bailee's liability.
61 Warranted free of any claim in respect of goods shipped under a Bill of Lading or contract
62 of carriage stipulating that the carrier or other bailee shall have the benefit of any insurance on
63 such goods, but this warranty shall apply only to claims for which the carrier or other bailee is
64 liable under the Bill of Lading or contract of carriage.
65 Notwithstanding the warranties contained in this clause it Is agreed that in the event of
66 loss of or damage to the goods by a peril or perils insured against by this policy for which the
67 carrier or bailee denies or fails to meet his liability the Underwriters shall advance to the assured
68 as a loan without interest a sum equal to the amount they would'have been liable to pay under
69 this policy but for the above warranties the repayment thereof lo he conditional upon and ouly
60 to the extent of any recovery which the assured may receive from the carrier or bailee.

62 direction and control of the Underwriters such suit or other proceedings to enforce the liability
63 of the carrier or bailee as the Underwriters shall require and t tie Underwriters agree to pay such

66 advanced under the policy.
