An addendum, which reproduces a report written by Commander Alfred Paget, RN, on 11 September 1894, describing the Turkish position of Bab-el-Mandeb opposite to Perim Island, and giving a summary of relevant historical events from 1868. The addendum also provides the opinion of Lewis Anthony Beaumont, Director, Naval Intelligence Department.
