The file contains papers regarding visa fees to be charged to natives of Oman and Muscat, and of Koweit [Kuwait], for proceeding to British territory.

The papers mostly consist of correspondence between the following: the India Office The department of the British Government to which the Government of India reported between 1858 and 1947. The successor to the Court of Directors. ; the Foreign Office; HM Minister, Tehran (Robert Henry Clive); HM Consul General, Meshed (Cyril Charles Johnson Barrett); and the Government of India Foreign and Political Department.
