Lithographed A lithograph is an image reproduced from a printing plate whose image areas attract ink and non-image areas repel it. in the Quarter Master Generals Office, Poona, 2 June 1863.
Distinctive Features:
The seven classes of jurisdiction are labelled in red ink, with their boundaries marked with red pecked lines.
The map was drawn up to accompany Letter No. 67 of 1863 written by Lewis Pelly. The report along with another copy of the map can be found at Mss Eur F126/48.
To the left of the map is the note: 'Durayah' (old Capital of Nejd or of the Wahabees [Wahhabis]). The present chief Town Reeas where the Ameer Hyseel resides is near Durayah'.
