A note written by Pelly on the verso The back of a sheet of paper or leaf, often abbreviated to 'v'. of folio 38, dated 25 October 1873 records that the letter has been replied to and that an original letter from Cadell has been enclosed along with the original letter from the Secretary to the Punjab Government.
