General view of the sea-front at Bushire. A dhow A term adopted by British officials to refer to local sailing vessels in the western Indian Ocean. with a lateen sail can be seen immediately to the right of the centre along the horizon. The highest structure along the horizon is a wind tower, which can be seen right of centre.

In the foreground is a boat at anchor.
