Content

The letter is an acknowledgement of receipt of Jones’s earlier letter (folios 190-91) relating to measures to check the slave trade from East Africa. Anderson writes that Government approves of his proceedings, and that the Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Navy has been requested to despatch a steamer to patrol the Arabian coast.
