A copy of a letter from Brigadier-General John Malcolm, Envoy of the Supreme Government of India to Persia [Iran], to Lord Minto, Governor-General of Bengal, sent from a camp near Bushire [Būshehr] and dated 2 March 1810. The letter forwards various letters related to Malcom's mission, and also covers: Malcolm's communication with the Prince of Shirauz [Shirāz] [ Prince-Governor A Prince of the Royal line who also acted as Governor of a large Iranian province during the Qājār period (1794-1925). of Fārs] and his Vizier Mahomed Nubbee Khan [Mohammed Nabī Khān Shirāzī]; the apparent sympathies of the Crown Prince Abbas Meerza [‘Abbās Mīrzā A title of honour originally applied to princes, later to military leaders, and later still to secretaries, chieftains, and other ‘gentlemen’. Qājār] with France; the relationship with the mission of Sir Harford Jones, British Envoy Extraordinary, also present in the country; and the despatch of various officers to survey routes on the frontiers of Persia.
