Content: A copy of a letter from Sir Patrick Murray, Secretary of the Board of Control Formally known as the Board of Commissioners for the Affairs of India, it was established by an Act of Parliament in 1784 to supervise the activities of the East India Company. , to the Secret Committee Pre-1784, the Committee responsible for protecting East India Company shipping. Post-1784, its main role was to transmit communications between the Board of Control and the Company's Indian governments on matters requiring secrecy. of the Court of Directors The London-based directors of the East India Company who dealt with the daily conduct of the Company's affairs. of the East India Company, dated 13 March 1810. The letter grants permission to the Secret Committee Pre-1784, the Committee responsible for protecting East India Company shipping. Post-1784, its main role was to transmit communications between the Board of Control and the Company's Indian governments on matters requiring secrecy. to share dispatches from Sir Harford Jones, British Envoy Extraordinary to Persia [Iran], with other members of the Court of Directors The London-based directors of the East India Company who dealt with the daily conduct of the Company's affairs. in order to make them aware of the present state of treaty negotiations with Persia.
