Copy of a letter from HM Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary A diplomatic representative who ranks below an ambassador. The term can be shortened to 'envoy'. to Persia [Iran], Sir Harford Jones, to the British Government of India's Envoy to Persia, Brigadier-General Sir John Malcolm, of 22 July 1810. In the letter Jones makes recommendations for military personnel and artificers to be sent for the provision of military assistance to Persia. Jones also requests that a medical practitioner and a Persian linguist be sent to assist his own Mission.

The letter was enclosed in Jones's secret letter of 24 July 1810, which was received on 21 November 1810.
