the particulars of the ship and the license of the messenger needs be
renewed every year. Also the expenses of the messenger will be
borne by every tribe for itself.
7 rn:—If any tribe wculd not desist from plundering and Icoting them, the
conciliatory Arabs will oppose that tribe as much as they can and at
the time of happening such a plunder and loot, the English and the
conciliatory Arabs will held Conference and discussion.
8th : — To kill men after they hand ever arms will amount to outrage and not the
defined war-fare and if a trite kills Moslems or non-mcslems after
they hand over their arms, it would mean that he has transgressed
the treaty and then the conciliatory Arabs with the English will punish
them and a State of war-fare will continue wdth such a tribe until they
surrender their arms and the partaker and instigator to such an action
being counted as equal.
9tii :—To kidnap men, women or children on the Sudan Coast or elsewhere and
taking them away in boats is an outrage and plunder so the
conciliatory Arabs should not do anything like that.
10th : — The boats of the conciliatory Arabs carrying the above-mentioned ensign
will enter into all ports of the English Government and those of
their allies and may buy and sell in them and should any one prevent
them, then the English Government will look to it.
■The above-mentioned conditions will be binding to all those people
who recognise them in future as well as at present. Here the
conditions end. And this treaty was written at “ Ras-khima n
three copies on Saturday the 22nd Rabiul Avval 12J5 A. H. and
Wo,s signed and sealed on dates and places as mentioned below :—-

The successor to the Court of Directors. , Foreign Office, and Colonial Office, and forms part of the interdepartmental discussion of matters such as: petitions to the British Government by the Baharnah community in Bahrain complaining about oppression by the Bahrain Government; Wahhabi influence in Bahrain and the protests of the Dowasir tribe over British-backed reforms in the country; the poor treatment of the Baharnah in Qatif by the authorities there; and Shaikh Isa bin Ali's memorial to the Government of India following his removal as the ruler of Bahrain.
