H. E. Shaikh Hamed is anxious that they
snould return as he feels that it is somewhat of a
disgrace that the once thriving town of Budeya should
be gradually falling into ruins.
The position of the Dawasir llakhudas and
their divers is such that tne Hakhudas will never
submit to be subject to the Bahrain diving lav/s which
forbid excessive interest and various other illegal
practices which are enforced by tne Dawasir.
. ainland Arabs . Several tribes of Hattar Arabs have
approached H. E. Shaikh Hamed with a view to migrat
ing to Bahrain. H. E. Shaikh would like them to
come to Bahrain,, and increase tne population, but
as he does not wish to injure the friendly relations
between himself and Shaikh Abdulla Allnani he has in
all cases given them non committal replies and so far
none of them ha¥;e moved to Bahrain. *! r ith a little
encouragement a very large number of the Q,c ttar Arabs
would undoubtedly leave Q,attar and settle permanently
in Bahrain.
