616. The French Consul is negotiating the purchase of a big
house belonging to Shaikh Mohamed A1 Rejihi. The house is near
the coast under the Fort Merani, next to the block of His High
ness* palaces. It is said the o^ner is willing to sell, but
His Highness has indirectly shown his disapproval.
