were silent on the proposal of Tchetchenn s.
What is indicated by the Soviet proposal 1
It indicates that we are, in all sincerity, ready to disarm ourselves, provided that all nations
who are in a position to attack us, will likewise disarm themselves simultaneously with us.
Soldiers of the Red Amy, Sailors of the Red Fleet, we wish success to the peaceful proposal,
beaun by our representatives. We hope that the people of Europe will persuade their warhk,
bourgeoisie masters to listen to the demands of peace between nations.
Rut meanwhile, as the Bourgeoisie Government gives a categorical refusal to our propo,al
for total disarmament, let every one of us stand firmly at our Battle Posts.

About this item
- Content
The item consists of Part 1 of the subject file 1341/1921: 'Meshed Consular & Intelligence Diaries (1921-1922)'.
It contains numbered periodical (mainly weekly) reports relating to Persia [Iran], initially each called an 'Intelligence Summary' and later called a 'Meshed Intelligence Diary'. The reports cover the period of the week ending 1 January 1921 to the period ending 1 January 1923. They are initially issued by the British Military Mission, Meshed [Mashhad, also known as Mashad or Meshad], and later by the Military Attaché, Meshed. The intelligence summaries, and diaries, relate to political, foreign, military and diplomatic affairs in the locality and the neighbouring regions and are variously arranged under (chiefly) the following headings: 'Khorasan and North-East Persia'; 'Herat and Afghanistan'; 'Russian Turkistan'; 'Khorasan'; 'Cis-Frontier'; 'Trans-Frontier'; 'Afghanistan'; 'Bolshevik Garrisons'; 'Local'; 'Transcaspia'; 'Bokhara'; 'Tashkent'; 'Central Russia'; 'Khiva'; 'Ferghana'; 'General'; and 'Samarkand'. The summaries often include appendices which are usually extracts of local and national newspapers published in the regions and countries of interest, including Nabat , Rosta , Izvestia , Ittifaq-i-Islam , Bednota, Prolitarii , Sharq-i-Iran, and Pravda . Other appendices contain details of Bolshevik Garrisons in the region.
