(w) These three States will federate and be under a joint Parliament.
Their integrity and independence will be respected and they will be at liberty
to conclude treaties with other independent States of Arabia.
. ^ British mandate over Palestine and the French mandate for
Syria must be annulled and their troops removed from those areas.
{vii) The statement by Mr. Balfour that Palestine is a national home for
Jews must be retracted.
{vui) The above conditions are to be forwarded to the League of Nations
for recognition.
(ix) An aerial post has been established beetween Cairo and Baghdad.
(#) The Kaldani and Ashari claim independence from the French
Eepublic for their country which lies north of Iraq and is hounded by
Mosul, Persian Azerbaijan, and Turkish Kurdistan, or Diar Bakar. The
Syrians support this claim.
(xi) Alliance of Arab Sheikh Fuad Khatib has been appointed
Foreign Minister to Arabia (Hejaz) and has been awarded a second class
.Nahda. He has converted Imam Yahiya to alliance with the Sharif.
{xii) Imam Yahiya has made over his foreign relations to the British
Government in return for an annual subsidy of £150,000. He is insisting
on his right to Hodeida which is at present under Saiad Idris. I
{xiii) Bgypt and the Hast. —The Nationalists of Zaglul Pasha’s Party
in Egypt have despatched representatives to Angora for enlisting the sympathy
and help of the Angora Government.
{xiv) Egypt and India. —An understanding has been| brought about
between Indian and Egyptian Nationalists for the furtherance of mutual help
and support.
{xv) Among Angora troops Afghan and Indian Muslims have been seen
in addition to the Caucasians.
{xvi) From the, Urdu press.—A Resolution by the Angora Government’s
Lady Minister for Education. (Khalda Khanum). The lady stated to an
American representative that Turkey will retain Constantinople at all costs
as it is the centre of the Khilafat and of other Muslim sentiments.
(xvii) A Spanish prince, who is a friend of the Nationalist Turks, is
going to Angora for an inspection of Angora troops.
(xviii) Hr. Kichleufs message to Muslim Ghazis :—“ Bow down to the
commands of Almighty God. Act according to your conscience. Sacrifice
all your luxuries for the love of India. God will bless your efforts. Ho not
despair ”.
{xix) Special Russian news. —America has despatched 1,000,000 poods of
food to Russia and has agreed to provide food for 950,000 Russian boys.
(xx) Repair of the Railway for Karshi to Karki. —At the request of
the Bokharan Republic the Soviet Republic is making a railway between
Karshi and Karki.
{xxi) Uioting and Revolution in 'Bombay. —Widespread riots occurred
in Bombay on the arrival of the Prince of Wales. The Police were obliged to
fire and some casualties in dead and wounded occurred. A large number of
leaders was arrested.
(xii) An Amnesty. —The Soviet Government has promised an amnesty to
all defaulters and criminals, including General Slashchev, on condition they
surrender and are of future good behaviour.
(xxiii) The Soviet Government has ordered 700 locomotives from
Germany.
(xxiv) A Moral Poem—In eulogy of the Amir [of Afghanistan and the
Perso-Afghan Treaty.
