Extract from the “ Izvestia ” Tashkent, dated 22nd March 1921.
On the 18th March the treaty between Soviet Russia and the Ukraine on
the one side and Poland on the other was signed.
Ricja .—The third Plenipotentiary session of the Russo-Ukrain-Polish Peace
Conference has come to a conclusion.
The Session lasted 8 hours.
Dombski opened the session as President and read the Peace Treaty in
Polish, comrade loffa in Russian and Kontsubinski in the Ukrain language.
In the course of his speech Dombski said : “I can categorically announce
that the Polish Republic will wisely fulfill all obligations which she has under
taken under the terms of this treaty. Poland wishes to be the bridge for rela
tions between East and ‘West.” Possessing the assurance that both countries
will act in such a manner as will guarantee the solidarity of the peace, Dombski
expressed his gratitude to the President of the Russo-Ukrain Delegation for the
talented skill and guidance evinced in the pourparlers and thanked the Latvian
Government for its hospitality.

He joined in thanking the Latvian people and their President for their
hospitality.

their own destinies and showed her perfect readiness to help the small nations.
At the time when a skilful campaign of lies was being conducted with the pb.jec

Sovet power was consolidating itself not only where she already existed kut a so
where she had not previously been. The signing of the treaty with Poland
crowns the peaceful intercourse between all the states formarly comprising the
Russian Empire..

The summaries often include appendices which are usually extracts of local and national newspapers published in the regions and countries of interest, including Nabat , Rosta , Izvestia , Ittifaq-i-Islam , Bednota, Prolitarii , Sharq-i-Iran, and Pravda . Other appendices contain details of Bolshevik Garrisons in the region.
