A survey has been made for a canal from theGodavery
river. The details required for making the designs for the
head works and the canal (33 miles in length) on the south
side are ready, and the survey of the north side is in pro
gress. Details have also been obtained for preparing an
estimate for restoring a fine old tank (at Bhatowdee) near
Nuggur. It is hoped the plans and estimates for the above
projects will be forwarded in time for this year’s budget.
A preliminary survey has been made for another project on
the Prowara river, the result of which has turned out favour
ably, and the detailed survey will now be commenced.
