Baba Saheb, Pant Pratinidhi, was installed on the gddi o£ Aundh in November, the previous
Chief having been deposed by Government. Akalkot continued to be under Government
management during the minority of its Chief.
2. In Aundh and Jath the rainfall was seasonable and the outturn of crops was good. Season and crops.
The rains were scanty in part of Phaltan State and remissions were given to a considerable
extent, A test-work was also opened. In Bhor and Akalkot the rainfall, though sufficient,
was ill-distributed and the crops were damaged to some extent thereby.
3. The aggregate revenue increased from Ks. 17,23,226 to Rs. 18,05,254 but the Revenue and
expenditure decreased from Rs. 17,66,411 to Rs. 14,59,512.
4. The strength of the Police was 585 against 618 in the previous year and the cost Police.
Ks. 74,426 against Rs. 75,094. In 790 reported offences 447 persons were sent for trial and
281 convicted. Of stolen property worth Rs. 29,122 property worth Rs. 19,214 was recovere .
5. The Criminal Courts dealt with 2,643 persons, of whom 779 were convicted. The Criminal justice,
number of appeals heard was 65.
6. Iu the 7 jails and 14 lock-ups 516 persons were detained at a cost of Rs. 11,112.
7. In the Civil Courts 1,455 original suits and 158 appeals were disposed of. Civil justice.
8. The number of documents registered was 5,729 and the value Rs. 9,44,546. The fees Registration,
realized amounted to Rs. 7,994.
. 9 - There are two municipalities in Bhor, one at Phaltan and one at Jath. Their total Municipalities.

- ^ ° 9 j 318. The cost amounted to Rs. 62,505 against Rs. 51,749.

Annual administration report of the Bombay Presidency The name given to each of the three divisions of the territory of the East India Company, and later the British Raj, on the Indian subcontinent. , providing a summary record of the main events and developments in each department of the Government of Bombay From c. 1668-1858, the East India Company’s administration in the city of Bombay [Mumbai] and western India. From 1858-1947, a subdivision of the British Raj. It was responsible for British relations with the Gulf and Red Sea regions. during the financial year 1909-10.
