fiothane in Katndgiri District and in Pardi measurement in the same district; (2) measurement

and temporary establishments under him prepared AMrbands of 130 villages 'in Dharwar
District: and*calculations of assessments and preparation of Taktas for the Gaonkhadi village
in Rajapur Taluka.
4. The number of survey parties was reduced from three to one which worked in the
tRokas of Shahdadpur and Sdkrand in Hyderabad District and in the talukas of Kandkot and
Kashmor in the Upper Sind Frontier District. In the former district 13,267 acres were
measured and in the latter 5,748 acres, a total of 19,015 acres against 61,888 acres measured
by those parties in the previous year. An additional area of 2,457 acres was measured by two
surveyors in Shikarpur Taluka.
2. Settlements.
1. —Peesidency Peopee.
In the Northern Division, revised rates were announced in the Kalol Taluka of the Paneh
Mahals District resulting in a net increase of Rs. 2,353. Revision settlement proposals for the
Government villages of the Jhalod Mahal of the same district were sanctioned. In the Central
Division proposals were submitted for the settlement of 9 Inam villages and 1 Government
village. Proposals for the Nandurbar Taluka of the West Khandesh District were sanctioned.
Individual settlements were introduced in 13 alienated villages of the Division. In the Southern
Division, second revision settlement proposals were submitted for the talukas of Kod, Hangal
and Dhdrwdr in the Dh&rwar District. Revised rates were announced in the Karajgi,
Mnddebihal and Gadag Talukas, with the result that there was an increase of 18*5 per cent,
arid 27 per cent., respectively for the first and third and a decrease of 16 per cent, for Mudde-
bM. The original settlement report was also submitted for the village of Narsapur in Gadag
laluka and rates announced, with the result that the assessment increased by 59 per cent.
Revision Settlement proposals were sanctioned for the Karw4r Taluka and submitted for the
Ankola T^luka.
2.—-Sind.
Revised Irrigational Settlements were introduced in the talukas of Larkana, Kambar and
Eitodero in the Larkana district.
3.—Alienation Settlements.
