The principal works in hand or completed were the following :—
flaw Technical School in the compound of the Sir J. J. School of Art. —The buildino> was
-ompleted during the year at a total cost of Rs. 93,439. The illustration opposite is a perspec
tive view of the building as completed. A description of the building was given in the last
year's report.
Elphinstone High School, Bombay. —Electric lights and fans were provided in the
Principal's quarters.
flew buildings for the David Sassoon Industrial and Reformatory Institution at
Matunga. —The new buildings, described in the last year's report, are under construc
tion and the most important of them are approaching completion.
Ranchhodlal Chhotalal Technical Institute, Ahmedabad. —This building which was
described in the last year’s report was completed, and was opened on the 7th March 1910.
Training School at Dhulia.—Nn examination hall with a gallery was added to the school. Ecclesiastical.
A science lecture room also, providing seating accommodation for 32 students, was, constructed.
High School at Dhdrwdr. — A. hostel for 100 boys was commenced.

The building for the Coroner's Court and Pathological Laboratories in connection with the
Mlic Morgue and Hospital Mortuaries in the compound of the J. J. Hospital, Bombay, was com
pleted and opened by His Excellency the Governor on the 30th March 1910. The work of adding
3 refrigerating rooms and providing refrigerating apparatus in the Mortuary and Morgue rooms
of the J. J. Hospital was also completed. The District Court-house at Broach was completed
and that at Surat was commenced. A bungalow was purchased for tha residence of the District
Judge at Ahmednagar, and the additions and alterations to the District Court-house at Karwar
vwe completed.

Annual administration report of the Bombay Presidency The name given to each of the three divisions of the territory of the East India Company, and later the British Raj, on the Indian subcontinent. , providing a summary record of the main events and developments in each department of the Government of Bombay From c. 1668-1858, the East India Company’s administration in the city of Bombay [Mumbai] and western India. From 1858-1947, a subdivision of the British Raj. It was responsible for British relations with the Gulf and Red Sea regions. during the financial year 1909-10.

The report is divided into two parts. Part I contains a report ‘SUMMARY’ (ff 139-153). Part II (ff 154-208) is comprised of chapters I-IX.
