In the Kalambandi villages under the Kh&ri Sluices, the water-supply was abundant both Kh&ri Sluices,
the kharif and rabi crops. The small Goblaj and Bherai tanks constructed to protect
ortion of good rice landfilled and about 400 acres were irrigated over and above the area
^hich bears the consolidated assessment including the Himayat water rate.
The area irrigated and the gross assessment on the Tranja-Nagrama, Wangroli and Savli
Tanks, as compared with the previous year, are as shown below

There was no irrigation under the Tranja-Nagrama tanks as there was no water at all
in them. The Wangroli Tank was filled partially up to R. L. 96*75, l e., to 5*25 feet below
the F. S. L., the rainfall in that neighbourhood being less than in the previous year, Ine
whole area commanded by the Right and Left Bank Canals is very limited, and the storage
cannot therefore be utilized even in years of scanty rainfall. With a view therefore to bring
more land under command a project for extending the Right Bank Canal downwards, where
there is good rice land available for irrigation, has been submitted for sanction. e a,v i
Tank was brought into operation in 1908-1909. The highest level reached by the water
in the tank was 6 feet below the F. S. L. The rainfall was fitful and less than m the
previous year. The dam and the canals were completed and the construction es ima e was
closed on the 31st March 1910.
The Saiat Tank was in progress. The dam and the canals have been completed and will The Saiat Tank,

23 feet of the ground surface. Another boring was then commenced at Dholka,
expenditure being Rs. 17,598.
