Aide-de-Camp in addition to his own.
Surgeon-Captain Lloyd Jones, I. M. D., acted as Civil Surgeon up to 18th
June, and from l7th September to 11th November 1896.
Surgeon-Lieutenant R. F. Standage acted as Civil Surgeon from 19th June
to 16th September 1896.
Suro-eon-Major J. W. T. Anderson returned from furlough and resumed
charge of his appointment as Civil Surgeon on the 12 th November 1896.
Surgeon-Major W. P. Carson, Port Surgeon, was absent on furlough from
24 th April 1896 to 21st February 1897, during which period Surgeon-Major
Crimmin, V.C., officiated for him.

sul for Portugal, resumed charge of his appointment
in April 1896.
Italy.
7. Cav. V. Bienenfeld was appointed Consul for
Italy in September 1896.
Germany and Netherlands.
8 . Mr. P. Bonenblust took charge of the German
and Butch Consulates ou the 29th March 1897, vice
Air. S. Schmuck, proceeded on leave.
Austria-H angary.
9. Mr. P. Bonenblust was also in charge of the
Austro-Hungary Vice-Consulate from the 29th Alarch
1897, vice Mr. S. Schmuck.
Tributary States.
