During the year under report 46 pilgrim ships called at the port
against 58 in 1895-96. All were personally inspected

217 The insufficiency of the staff and inadequacy of available accommoda
tion to meet an emergency has been brought to the notice of Government.

Prince of Wales Charitable Dispensary situated in the Crater.
9 7 054 out-patients attended the dispensary as compared with 9,988 in
the previous year. Of these 4,257 were males, 1,D0
females, and 1,677 children.
220 The nationalities represented were 200
