12. The total number of offences reported during the year was 131

14. There w r ere three appeals during the year in all of which the sentences

Revisional proceedings. 15, In 9 cases revisions were asked for :—
(1) In 4 the sentences were upheld.
(2) In 3 the sentences were reduced.
(3) In 1 the lower Court’s order was reversed.
(4) In 1 the sentence was enhanced.
16. An inquest was held on the body of one Add Ahmed who died
Inquests suddenly at the Police Station when about to
proceed on duty.
17. Ho lunatic was sent to the Lunatic Asylum
at Nowpada (Thana) during the year.
18. A Marine Court of inquiry was held during the year in the case of
Marine cases. ^ e ^our ” stranded off Azalea point, Per im
Island, on the 28th October 1913.
19. The administration of Civil Justice is also vested in the Besident bj
