by her mistress’s step-mother, N, Hokkien. The girl was covered with bruises Slip

Ordinance. The woman said that the girl was beaten by her children and she oi l

8 . O aged 11 years, Cantonese, was reported to be an unregistered Mui Tsai andwa^
alleged to be suffering from leprosy. On examination by the lady Medical Officer there was
no sign of the disease. She appeared to be an adopted daughter and was allowed to so homo
but was kept under supervision by regular inspection.
