1 . Warranted free from Particular Average unless
the vessel or craft be stranded, sunk or burnt,
but notwithstanding this warranty the Under
writers are to pay the insured value of any pack
age or packages whitrij. tnay-- be totally lost in
loading, transhipment^ discharge, also for any
loss of or dapn&ge to the interest insured which
may reason^rfy be attributed lo fire collision or
contact oi tfie vessel and/or craft and/or convey
ance with.any external substance (ice included)

ing, forwarding and special charges if incurred
for vliich Underwriters would be liable under a
poliJy covering Particular Average. This clause
shall operate during the whole period covered
by the Policy.
2 . Warranted free of capture, seizure, arrest, re
straint or detainment, and the consequences
thereof or of any attempt thereat: also from the
consequences of hostilities or warlike operations,
whether ther.'be a declaration^of war or not;
but this, warranty shall not exclude collision,
contact with any fixed or floating object (other
than a mine Or torpedo), stranding, heavy wea
ther, oh fire unless caused directly (and inde
pendently of the nature of the voyage or service
which the vessel concerned or, in the case of a
collision, any other vessel involved therein, is
performing/ by a hostile act by or against a
belligerent power; and for the purpose of this
warranty power" includes any authority main
taining naval, military or air forces in associa-
P^tion with a power. ^
Further warranted free from the consequences
of civil war, revolution, rebellion, insurrection
or civil strife arising therefrom or piracy.
3. Should Clause No. 2 be deleted, the current
Institute War Clauses relevent to the particular
form of transit covered by this Insurance shall
be deemed to form part of this contract,
4. Warranted free of loss or damage caused by
strikes locked-out workmen or persons taking
part in labour disturbances riots or civil com
motion, ,
5. Should Clause No. 4 be deleted the current
Institute Strike Clauses shall be deemed to
form part of this contract.
6 . The Clauses printed on the back hereof are to
have the same effect as if they were printed
in is margin.
7. This policy not to inure to the benefit of any
Fire Insurance Company or Underwriter.
8 . Subject to the Institute Dangerous Drugs
Clause on back hereof.
9. In the event of a general average arising under
this policy, the Insured is requested not to sign
any general average bond or pav any general
average deposit without first consulting the

Grounding in Canals. Harbours, or Tidal Rivers not to be deemed a strand; but the Company to pay any damage or loss which may be proved
to have directly resulted therefrom.
General Average and Salvage Charges payable according to Foreign Statement or per York-Antwerp Rules if in accordance with the contract of
affreightment.
In open Policies by Ship or Ships it is stipulated that each shipment shall be declared in writing by the Insured to the Company’s Representative
at port of shipment days after receipt of advices, otherwise no liability shall attach to the Company.
Claims for all losses or average shall be pivable by the Company after due adjustment of the same and shall be adjusted in accordance with
English law and usage.
And the Company is content, and docs hereby hold itself bound to the Insured, his or their Executors Admini^rators or Assigns, for the

for Average must be accompanied by a Certificate

the Company’s Agent at Port of discharge, or in
cases where the Company has no Agent, by a
Certificate from Lloyd’s Agent, without which
Certificate no claim for loss will be paid
N.B.—Notice must be given to the Company’s
Agent (or to Lloyd’s Agent as above) previous to
the Survey.
