•Government of His Britannic Majesty my sincere thanks about this concurrence
in the ‘ Majlis ” and in the arrangement of the articles about suits. Your friend
with all respect meets the demands of the great Government for concession about
the fees relating particularly to their subjects as among themselves and also the
subjects of the Great Powers as among themselves and I hope from God that
you will always be in perfect health and pleasure.

We received your valued letter dated 29th Rabiulsani 1337 corresponding-
to 1st February 1919 about the Order issued by the Government of His Britannk
Majesty (and) arranged in Council which comes in force in Bahrein and in the
whole of the Gull on the 1st of jamadalawal 1337 corresponding to the 3rd
February 1919. It came to my knowledge your friend with great pleasure thanks
you for sending it and hopes of your kindness that you will convey to His Majesty
ol Great Britain my sincere thanks for its good intentions and for honouring its
sincere friend, and for the privilege given to your friend by giving jurisdiction over
all subjects of Arab rules equally with the subjects of your friend. And your friend
considered over all the arrangements relating to the articles about suits etc., having
conncection with the customs of the country in the Courts of the Government of
your friend and your friend thanks you for your assistance about those custom s
which belong to the brilliant Mahomedan Law and the Majlis and the Salfaof Divers
including our subjects and those who have relation literally ascribed to us from among
the subjects of the Arab rulers along with the subjects of Great Britain and the
subjects of Great Powers.
^ our friend draws your attention and requests assistance from you for
the privilege of the Government of your friend (and) suitably to the happiness
of all, in case when one of our subjects or those related to us out of the subjects
of Arab rulers, complaints to your friend against any of the subjects of the
Government of Great Britain or against the subjects of Great Powers, your friend
w ill write to you the particulars of the complaint and similarly when one of the
subjects of Great Britain or the subjects of Great Powers complaints to your
Excellency against our subjects or those related to us from among the subjects
°f the Arab rulers, you will write to your friend the particulars of the complaint
and then w-e will agree with your Excellency to transfer the suit to any Court
Mlt h two representatives from both sides and every representative will take down
the proceedings of the Court and your friend will have the tax of the fee (to the
extent) of 20 per cent from one of the parties on recovery and the Courts (Majlis)
