order in Council
A regulation issued by the sovereign of the United Kingdom on the advice of the Privy Council.

Britannic Majesty and I understood its contents and I thank Your Highness
much for it and I will consider over the matter with great attention and reply to
Your Highness. This is what was necessary and accept m best regards and
compliments.

February 1919 corresponding to 9th Jumadaloola 1337 in which I informed Your
Highness of the receipt of your valued letter dated 9th Jumadaloola 1337, about

of His Britannic Majesty, I like to thank Your Highness once
more for the kind feelings expressed in it as it gives vent to Your Highnesss
friendship with the Government of his Britannic Majesty and I understood all that
you have mentioned therein. I have the honour to reply Your Highness with the
following arrangements which are arrived at for the facility of acting upon the
Order of His Britannic Majesty referred to above. And I am sure Your Highness
will accept them. When one of your Highness’s subjects or one of the subjects of
the Arab Rulers who are in treaty with Your Highness, institutes a suit literally
a- claim against any one of the subjects of Great Britain or those under protection,
Your Highness will send to your friend, the particulars of the claim. And
similarly when any one out of the subjects of Great Britain or those under protection
institutes a suit before your friend against any one of Your subjects or the
subjects of the Arab Rulers in treaty w'ith Your Highness, your friend will inform
you about it. And in both the cases it will be possible for us to fix the method
of procedure therein i. e., to say we shall either agree to send it to a mixed tribunal

The successor to the Court of Directors. , Foreign Office, and Colonial Office, and forms part of the interdepartmental discussion of matters such as: petitions to the British Government by the Baharnah community in Bahrain complaining about oppression by the Bahrain Government; Wahhabi influence in Bahrain and the protests of the Dowasir tribe over British-backed reforms in the country; the poor treatment of the Baharnah in Qatif by the authorities there; and Shaikh Isa bin Ali's memorial to the Government of India following his removal as the ruler of Bahrain.
