قال ثابت قوم الشمس لوقت مغيبها من اليوم الذي تريد أن تعلم إن كان الهلال يرى

فيه إذا كان قد جاوز الاجتماع تقويمًا تعرف به موضتها بالتقريب إذ كان

لا يمكنك معرفة ذلك باستقصاء إلا من بعد أن تعدل الساعات ...

Ends (f. 113r, lines 21-22):

... وكذلك اختلاف بصر الناظرين وغير ذلك وإنما يمكن أن

تقضي وتحكم مع ثقة ويقين ما كان بينه وبين الحد نفسه صالحه
